Krewella is an up and coming EDM group originating from Chicago, Illinois who were formed in 2007.  There has been a lot of buzz circulating around the group ever since their 2013 song, “Alive” tore up the mainstream airwaves.  On Tuesday, July 2nd the group released the first official single from their upcoming album Get Wet entitled, “Live For The Night.” I definitely believe it could be a smash hit.

Live For The Night is a true EDM styled song but with a great melody and hard house beat.  Krewella has been known for coming out with more hard-hitting songs that are heavily dubstep influenced, however, “Live For The Night” is definitely on the poppier/mainstream side but still with an edge.

Krewella got the exposure they needed with their hit song “Alive” and reached number 32 on The Billboard Hot 100.  I believe “Live For The Night” has what it takes to become an even larger hit for the group and could potentially turn Krewella into a household name.

What do you think of the song? Check it out right here:

The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup tonight, June 24th, in an exciting nail-biter.  The Blackhawks scored 2 goals within 17 seconds in the last two minutes to win over the Bruins 3-2.

Again, with all of my family being from Chicago I am THRILLED!

Go Blackhawks! Bring that cup back to The Windy City!

That will be all 🙂

Blackhawks-Win

As well as being an entertainment enthusiast, I am also an avid sports fan. I have played everything from soccer to baseball since the age of two. Although I have never played hockey competitively and am not an expert on the rules, I am very excited that the Chicago Blackhawks are in the finals and NOW up 3-2 in the series!

The Blackhawks beat the Bruins 3-1 tonight, June 22nd 2013. Patrick Kane scored twice while Dave Bolland scored an empty  netter with 13.6 seconds left when the Bruins replaced their goalie with another player in a failing attempt to score a last minute goal on the Blackhawks.

My entire family is from Chicago, so even though I have never lived there, it is very close to my heart.

And now all I can say is LETS GO BLACKHAWKS! Bring another championship back to The Windy City!
